The software for the CPM card

For the Z80-CP/M card quite some software had to be patched; this is the reason why each region of the FAC received a separate floppy-disc with that software. On the disc the following files:

ADOSZ80

=

Atomdos on the #E000 block (in EPROM, and the VIA on #BF90)

GDOSZ80

=

Gdos source to use with the Z80-CP/M card.

INITDIR

=

Initialisation program for a new formatted ADOS disc.

TER9345

=

The source of the terminal software for the FAC VDU 80-card..

TER6845

=

The source of terminal software an other types of 80-kol VDU card

TERMI64

=

The source for the 64 column-terminal (standard ATOM in CLEAR4)

GDOSA80

=

Assembled GDOS for #Axxx (VIA on #BF90)

GDOSE80

=

Assembled GDOS for #Exxx (VIA on #BF90)

GR-PACK

=

Graphics pack

Z80STAT

=

File to (fe. in CX -DATA) admit the command CPM.

Als, an assembled version from both TER9345 and ASS9345 was provided. Assembled on the #Axxx block, and with an extra VIA on #BF90), and an assembled version of GDOSZ80 as GDOSASS (for the #Axxx block, also with an extra VIA on #BF90).
The address #BF90 was mentioned above, because this was in principally the address for the VIA. There are no #BC00 files on the floppy. So you will have to assemble them by yourself. The DOS-EPROM-patch is not on the floppy, but is described in the manual from the Z80 card.
On the systemdisc you will find a file Z80KAART. This file is the extensive manual from the Z80 card. When the card is fitted and if it can be used, you are able to display the contenance of the manual as follows.
example: TYPE:   Z80KAART  RETURN
After a CONTROL + P the file will be printed.
Both the address from the VIA and the address where the software should be assembled should be considered when assembling the files.
How to deal with ATOMDOS discs (after placing a new EPROM on the #Exxx block):
Put a usual ATOMDOS disc into the drive, press the RESET button, and wait until the drive stops. Type now *DOS.
From this moment on, you are able to use the normal ATOMDOS. The first thing to do, is to obtain an ATOMDOS EPROM. Read the manual as it is as in the file Z80KAART.
Something about the VlA-problem: having no print yet for an extra VIA, the best thing to do is probably to improvise a print by means of wires, with a VIA on #BC00 according to diagram 4. The FAC standard for the VIA is #BC00 -#BC0F!
